How does Instagram media publishing differ from generating a video?
Treat platform publication as a separate workflow with its own eligibility, processing, and completion state.
How does Instagram media publishing differ from generating a video?
Generating a video creates an artifact in your application. Publishing sends approved media to a selected external account and requires separate authorization and confirmation of the platform result.
Follow the publishing stages
Meta’s publishing workflow uses a media container, checks processing status where required, and publishes the eligible container. Creating the container is not proof that a post is live. Store the container and published media identifiers separately from your render job identity.
Verify the intended outcome
Check the account, media revision, accompanying text, and user intent before starting publication. Preserve an uncertain outcome for reconciliation rather than immediately publishing another copy after a timeout. Current format, access, and account requirements belong in the integration checks. Show the published result only after the platform confirms it, while retaining the generated video even if publication fails.
