How do you troubleshoot DNS and HTTPS problems during integration setup?
A domain can resolve correctly while HTTPS or the callback still fails. Diagnose the specific layer rather than repeatedly changing DNS records.
Check resolution and hosting
Confirm the intended record exists in the authoritative zone and points to the expected host. DNS answers can remain cached according to their time-to-live, so different resolvers may temporarily disagree. Check for conflicting records and verify the hosting service has accepted the custom domain.
Check the secure application path
Verify that the certificate covers the hostname and that the service presents it correctly. Do not bypass certificate errors as an integration fix. Then test the exact callback URL, redirects, and public-origin settings. A redirect to an internal hostname or HTTP can break an otherwise valid setup. Keep notes about each layer’s observed result so a DNS issue is not confused with an application error or missing OAuth registration.
