Are AI resume reviews accurate?

AI resume reviews can surface wording problems and possible gaps, but individual suggestions can be wrong. The system may miss context, misunderstand extracted text, or suggest a detail that was never part of your experience. Judge the evidence behind each recommendation.

What to do

• Locate the original passage behind a suggestion. Read the surrounding section to see whether the supposedly missing information is already present elsewhere.

• Check the reviewer's scope. NamasteDev primarily assesses extracted text, so inspect visual details such as alignment and page breaks separately in the PDF.

• Verify proposed metrics, responsibilities, and tools before using a rewrite. Ask a knowledgeable person for context when a recommendation conflicts with what actually happened.

Example

If a suggestion says you led a deployment but you only built one endpoint, keep the endpoint contribution and remove the unsupported leadership claim.

Use AI as an editing aid. Its feedback is not a factual verification of your experience or a promise of hiring success.
