What configuration should you verify before deploying an AI application?
Check production origins, service access, callbacks, worker settings, and secret availability before launch.
What configuration should you verify before deploying an AI application?
Production configuration differs from local development. A successful local build does not prove the deployed application can reach its dependencies or complete its public callback flows.
Review environment-specific settings
Verify database and storage destinations, model configuration, worker identity, dispatch settings, and required secret names. Confirm production domain, HTTPS, allowed browser origins, and registered OAuth callbacks. Keep development credentials and fixtures out of the live flow. Do not print secret values as verification evidence.
Verify from the deployment
Run targeted connectivity and permission checks using the actual runtime identities. Confirm that media binaries and fonts are present in the deployed worker. Check that missing configuration produces a clear failure instead of a silent fallback to sample data. Keep a record of the deployment version and configuration changes so later diagnosis can distinguish code regressions from environment mistakes.
