How do you decide whether the AI project is ready to go live?
Use evidence from acceptance checks, deployment verification, recovery planning, and known limitations to make a release decision.
How do you decide whether the AI project is ready to go live?
Launch readiness is a decision based on demonstrated behavior. It should be tied to the promised scope rather than the number of completed implementation tasks.
Review the release evidence
Confirm that the critical user journey, access controls, stored results, and relevant external integrations have passed their checks. Separate simulated evidence from live verification. Review known defects and classify which prevent the promised experience. Confirm current platform requirements for the accounts and workflows the release will serve.
Prepare operation and recovery
Verify production configuration, monitoring, support ownership, and rollback or recovery procedures. Define how active jobs and retained artifacts will be handled during an incident. Use a staged rollout when appropriate to the product and observe real outcomes before expanding. Record remaining limitations clearly. A release can have a narrow feature set, but its stated capabilities should work reliably enough for the intended users.
